Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a remote worker?
Yes! You need to either be a full time remote worker, a freelancer or an entrepreneur that’s running a business remotely. The Villa stay will be mostly a work environment, with the occasional party on weekends.
How much does it cost?
You can expect to pay between USD $1,000 – $3,000 per room per week, depending on the Villa, the location, the time of year, the experiences, and if you are coming alone or as a couple.
What is included in the cost of Remote Work Villas?
- All travel to and from the Villa once you are in the country of the Villa Stay.
- All accommodations during the stay with your own private room in the Villa

- The Remote Method PDF
- Mastermind Activities
- Top speed Internet
- Common workspace(s)

What isn’t included in the cost of Remote Work Villas?

- Emergency Medical Insurance (Strongly recommended whenever you travel outside your home country)
- Miscellaneous activities, such as community impact days, bar nights, tours, and other trips
Can I come and keep my current remote job?
Yes! That’s the whole idea!
Can I bring my spouse?
Yes of course – ideally they are also working remotely. If not then they should plan a project in order to keep busy during the stay.
How Do You Ensure I won’t be staying with Weirdos?
The number one reason people come on Remote Work Villa Stays is for the connections they make. It’s awesome to live in the nicest place you’ve ever lived, but it’s even cooler to do it alongside other excited remote work professionals. We price ourselves on having a very thorough vetting process so that everyone is as awesome as you.
What happens if I don’t get along with some of my Villa roommates?
There’s a facilitator that will be there to help deal with any disagreements should they come up. In the event that there are people you don’t get along with in the Villa, keep in mind the Villa is a very large space, giving you the privacy you need.
Can I bring my friends or colleagues?
Yes! You are encouraged to invite your friends and/or colleagues. They will still need to go through the vetting process, but if they are recommended from an already vetted community member (or better yet if you have already stayed in one of our Villa) it will go faster.
Will there be weekend activities?
Yes – you can use the weekends to travel around and get to see the country. The facilitator will have a lot of recommendations, and if enough people are interested we can arrange group outings. Any costs related to this will be your own to cover.
Do I have to be from the United States or any country in particular to participate?
No – Remote Work Villas aims to have a diverse set of participants!
You do need to have the ability to get a Visa to the Villa country, which we can help with if need be.
Do I have to speak English?
No – but you will be encouraged to learn conversational english prior to the trip beginning.
How Long Does The Application Process Take?
It will take you about 30 minutes to properly go through the application process. The more thorough you are with your answers, the better we can match you with like-minded people. Once you’ve applied you will be invited for an in-person virtual interview.
When will I know if I’ve been accepted to Remote Work Villas?
Once you’ve applied, you will receive an email with a preliminary acceptation letter. The final round will be a virtual face-to-face interview to get to know you a bit better. We take the vetting very seriously given the quality of experience we want everyone to have, and given the luxurious Villas you will be staying in.
How does it work once I’m accepted?
Once you’re accepted, you can book your Villa stay by paying the downpayment on one of the Villa stays. There is a proprietary preparation process that includes everything you will need to do to make this as easy as possible without taking too much of your valuable time. You can expect our Remote Work Villa PDF with:
– Advice on how to book flights as cheaply as possible
– Help with Visas if necessary
– Checklists of what to bring
– How to sublet your apartment
– How to prep prior to your stay
